COVID-19 Emergency Vision Fund needs your support

We sincerely invite you to join the monthly donation program to sustain the work of our global sight-restoring teams to transform the lives of many visually impaired patients around the world.

Regardless of the amount, it will be an indispensable support for our sight-restoring work:

Donate $50 = Subsidize strabismus surgery for 1 child every year

Donate $120 = Subsidize cataract surgery for 5 people every year

Donate $250 = Help distributing antibiotics to protect 500 people from trachoma each year

The pandemic has hit Orbis hard. While there is a backlog of ophthalmic services, our donations have dropped significantly in the midst of economic downturn, and some of our fundraising events were inevitably cancelled. In response to this urgent need, Orbis has established the COVID-19 Emergency Vision Fund to quickly raise and distribute funds for essential Orbis programs that are now in jeopardy – programs that are so critical to the visually impaired patients who live on the edge of darkness.

Regardless of the amount, it will be an indispensable support for our sight-restoring work:

Donate $1,000 = Subsidize 5 pairs of glasses for children

Donate $3,000 = Subsidize 10 cataract surgeries

Donate $10,000 = Deliver training to 1 optometrist / nurse / anesthetist
