Orbis successfully completed its landmark 20th anniversary Walk for Sight. Held at Tai Tam Country Park, the event was a great success, attracting more than 3,700 walkers whose efforts raised over HK$2.22 million of funding for vital global vision restoration initiatives.

Event Highlights

VIP guests at this year’s opening ceremony officially got the walkathon underway by lighting up special torches. In doing so, they perfectly symbolized the blessings of light and vision that Orbis and its sight saving teams have now been sharing with the world’s visually-impaired for over 35 years.

This year’s event included a choice of pleasant 6-km family strolls and more challenging 10-km hikes for more seasoned walkers. After the walk, a fun-packed post-event carnival made the day doubly memorable and meaningful for all who came along to loan their support in the battle against avoidable blindness.
