Eyeglasses have always played an important role in eye health. Orbis has been committed to fighting avoidable blindness for more than 40 years. Not only do we perform life-changing surgeries, but we also provide spectacles with correct prescriptions and designs to save children from uncorrected refractive error, transforming their lives with just a simple pair of glasses.

We sincerely invite all kids to participate in our meaningful Orbis ‧ Essilor “Eyewear Look Look” Design Competition and unleash their inner Picasso by designing the paper spectacles used in our community programs! With a donation of HK$180, our little supporters will have a chance to win the grand prize and other fantastic awards. What’s more? The winning entry will be printed and used in Orbis’s local eye health educational activities!

Date：

May 6 - 7, 2023 (Saturday to Sunday)

Drawing session：

Session (1) May 6, 2023 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. OR

Session (2) May 7, 2023 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Age：

8 years old or younger (born 2015 or after)

Venue：

HarbourChill, Wan Chai (there will be a carnival onsite) - Exit A2, Exhibition Centre MTR Station

Judging criteria：

Creativity, composition, color matching and drawing techniques

Enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Enrolment donation：

HKD180

All participants will receive a welcome pack including a foam Flying Eye Hospital plane, a handy cup holder and an informative eye care booklet.

Be one of the first 500 entrants and we’ll also give you an exclusive Flying Eye Hospital model kit!

Enrolment deadline：

Session (1) May 6, 2023 4 p.m.
Session (2) May 7, 2023 1 p.m.

Award ceremony：

Winners will be contacted at 3 p.m. on May 7 and invited to collect their prizes at the 4 p.m. award ceremony on May 7

Prize and Certificate：

• Champion: certificate, one-time eye check service for kid, one Stellest Package including lenses and specified Ray-Ban® frame, and a HKD2,000 book voucher

• 2^nd Prize: certificate, one-time eye check service for kid, one Stellest Package including lenses and specified Ray-Ban® frame, and a HKD1,000 book voucher

• 3^rd Prize: certificate, one-time eye check service for kid, one Stellest Package including lenses and specified Ray-Ban® frame, and a HKD500 book voucher

• 30 Excellence Awards: certificate, and one Ray-Ban® kids sunglasses sponsored by EssilorLuxottica

• 70 Merit Awards: certificate, one Ray- Ban® badge holder and one Ray- Ban® pencil case

The winning entry will be printed and used in Orbis’s community programs for educational purpose. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation upon submission of artwork.

Enjoy kid-friendly Carnival activities including face painting, balloon twisting and dance performances while bringing hope to the blind. Come and enjoy a fun-filled weekend with your kids while cheering for visually impaired children all over the world!

Family workshop: Discover how to read and write Braille with your kids

Blindfold experience: Learn how it feels to be visually impaired through yoga (pre-registration required) and busking

Children eye screening (pre-registration required): There’ll be an attractive souvenir for every youngster who takes 0ur simple vision test
