Orbis has been diligently spreading eyecare messages to the education sector since always. If you would like to utilize your ability and creativity for the visually impaired, be Orbis Student Ambassadors! Bold your sight, for their sights!

Open enrollment for 2018-19 Orbis Student Ambassador Campaign

As leaders, students can take a step forward and gather youth’s strength and change the world. By addressing Orbis’s mission on eradicating global blindness, students are able to recognize the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, as well as trained up to be Global Citizens and contribute to society in the future.

Eligibility: Senior Secondary and tertiary school students from Hong Kong

Briefing session: Friday, October 12, 2018

Enrollment deadline: Thursday, January 31, 2019

Format: Form a team of 2 - 8 and organize fundraising activities at school   


- Top Fundraising Award – Champion, 1st and 2nd runner-up

- Outstanding Fundraising Project Award (2 teams)

All Student Ambassadors will be recognized in the following ways: :

- Student ambassador badge

- Social service hours

1. Overseas mission trip

Selected Student Ambassadors of winning teams will go on the oversea mission trip, visiting Orbis’s partner hospital, network and beneficiary home visits, participating in screening programs and witness the sight-restoration miracle of an eye surgery during the trip.

2. “A Dialogue with Orbis” Joint School Seminar

Orbis will provide different supporters including corporate partners, volunteer ophthalmologists, previous Student Ambassadors and trip captain to share the foals of sustainable development and the concept of Global Citizenship

3. Blind Tour

Student Ambassadors will experience the lived of the blind in darkness by navigating different obstacles as a team with their eyes covered

4. Volunteer opportunities

Student Ambassadors will participate in real-time Orbis’s events, such as Orbis daytime walkathon “Walk for Sight”, etc.

5. Organizing fundraising activities

Student Ambassadors act as leaders and organize at least one fundraising activity in campus such as casual wear day, singing contest, charity sales and readathon, etc. for Orbis
