Rosa's younger brother has lost his vision in one eye since he was little. Although she was too late to save his sight, She is happy that her 25 years of regular donations are still spreading light and hope to the world’s poorest places.
"My mum used to teach me that I should treat others the same way I wish to be treated. Holding out a helping hand to those in difficulty is also an excellent way of gaining more in life." Rosa said.
She hopes more people will support Orbis and that our shared compassion will ensure even more visually impaired people – especially children in poorer countries – can see. How wonderful it will be when no one is deprived of their chance to see the world! While each of us on our own can do little, our shared efforts quickly add up.
