Primary Schools: Blindfold Lunch 2025-26

Want to create a unique and impactful educational experience? Orbis 'Blindfold Lunch' makes it easy! During lunch break, students will don blindfolds to experience daily challenges faced by the visually impaired, fostering empathy and compassion. In addition, the Orbis Campus Team will host a fun and engaging eyecare workshop – all for free!

Childhood Myopia Is an Increasingly Serious Local Issue!

To safeguard children’s eye health, Orbis is bringing back the "Blindfold Lunch" in 2025-26! This activity is not only engaging and fun but also deeply educational. Orbis provides participating schools with free activity materials, including paper blindfolds and Healthy Vision Fun Fact leaflets. Students wear blindfolds during lunch and utilize other senses to personally experience the daily lives of the blind.

Orbis Campus Ambassadors will also visit schools to host interactive eyecare workshops, using games to cover common eye diseases, healthy eye habits, and how to support the visually impaired. Additionally, students will learn braille and share braille greeting cards with their peers, fostering empathy and a spirit of sharing knowledge.

Students Who Donate $50 or More

to support Orbis' global blindness prevention efforts will receive our unique giftpack, with custom Orbis x Maruko-chan stickers (to decorate the blindfold mask with), Braille Greeting cards, and Tactile Coloring Page. Students who submit their colouring masterpiece will receive a “Little Visionary Artist” e-certificate from Orbis Hong Kong!
