Hong Kong - Employment - IT Manager

The incumbent will act as the primary IT liaison among internal fundraising units, operational departments and external vendors. S/he works closely with different user departments to identify and address their IT needs. In close collaboration with Orbis US HQ, s/he ensures compliance with Orbis’s global IT policies, standards and guidelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage IT daily operation and projects based on business needs and organization’s strategic goals.
  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between business units and system vendors in addressing and resolving issues in system development and quality assurance.
  • Work with related parties and utilize technical expertise to analyze business requirements and operation challenges, identify potential issues and risks of the systems, generate and implement IT solutions for improvements.
  • Manage database and system integration, lead and guide business users to evaluate current processes, perform analysis to define opportunities and propose solutions to improve and streamline system workflows.
  • Develop and implement plans and measures to address the protection of sensitive information against anticipated threats and unauthorized access to donor information, and ensure compliance with local law and global policies.
  • Devise, document and maintain policies and procedures, guidelines and standards that ensure business / operational continuity and compliance with local and global IT requirements.
  • Secure and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Provide IT support to other Orbis offices as needed, e.g. Macau, Singapore etc.
  • Build and develop a high performing and integrated team through strong leadership, inspiration, accountability and provide opportunities for professional growth.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree majoring in information technology, management information systems, computer science or relevant discipline
  • Proven track record in successfully identifying, leading and implementing information systems and technologies to help achieving company objectives
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in managing system integration project, business analysis, project management and vendor management, with at least 5 years at managerial level.
  • Experiences with databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
  • Sound knowledge in Microsoft Dynamic 365 CRM and Business Central is preferred
  • Experience in server administration and networking would be an advantage
