By leaving a gift to Orbis in your will or life insurance policy, you can make a significant impact through a gift of sight that costs nothing in your lifetime. While making a donation to Orbis in memory of a loved one in lieu of flowers at a memorial service, you will help to transform the lives of visually-impaired people for many years to come.

Legal Talk - the Power of Making Wills and Bequests

Making charitable bequests is on the rise across the globe. More people have come to appreciate it is more blessed to give than to receive. Legacy donation can extend your love by supporting Orbis’s sight-saving mission for generations to come. Perhaps, these questions might have crossed your mind: What will happen if I don't write a Will? Are Wills for rich people only? What is a valid Will? Who is responsible for executing my Will? What if I have already had a Will and am now considering adding a gift to a charity?

On April 24, 2022, Orbis invited Ms. Ryanne Lai, a Hong Kong practicing lawyer, to host a legacy webinar and answer the questions donors might have about making a Will. Being a co-founder of legacy giving platform “ForeverGift.HK”, she also shared heart-warming stories of legacy donors, hoping to encourage more people to consider leaving impactful gifts to the cause they believe in.

In case you missed Ryanne's sharing, be sure to block the afternoon of October 22 because she will join us again to explain the importance of making a Will and the considerations when preparing one.

Date: October 22, 2022 (Saturday)

Time: 3pm - 4pm

Format: Conducted in Cantonese via Zoom online platform
