Making charitable bequests has been popular in foreign countries for years. While many Hong Kong people are aware of the importance of bequests and want to turn what they “cannot take away” into meaningful charitable gifts, they do not know where to start. Fortunately, a social enterprise named "ForeverGift.HK" is actively promoting legacy giving and provides free will-making service for those who wish to be remembered while supporting causes close to their heart.
On October 22, Ms. Ryanne Lai from “ForeverGift.HK” gave another Cantonese legal seminar to dispel the myths about making a will, including the challenge of appointing executors, as well as the current talking points — emigration and the handling of assets abroad. Joining Ryanne at the workshop was Monica, an enthusiastic legacy giving supporter, who shared how she came to devote her life to building a legacy of charitable giving and helping others build theirs. If you missed the seminar, we invite you to visit the following link to relive the highlights of the day.
