Will the Moonwalkers 2018 go ahead under adverse weather conditions? How will Orbis announce any changes to the event’s arrangements?

Please check the Orbis offical website, www.orbis.org and Moonwalkers Facebook page for updates. SMS alerts will also be sent to all individual participants and team leaders.

Will on-the-night applications be accepted at the event itself?

No. Last minute applications are not allowed due to safety issues.

Can I bring pets on the walk?

While animals can walk, they are not allowed to enter the Shatin Sports Ground. Please ask a friend to keep your pet outside the park and return it to you once you start walking.

If a friend drops out before the walk, am I allowed to replace him or her?

Yes, but please remember to send the e-registration card to your friend so he/she can gain admission to the event.

What should I do if a fellow team member drops out?

Ask your team leader to handle the replacement team member’s e-registration card and distribute his/her event souvenirs.

Will any parking slots be reserved for participants at the start or end of the event?

No. As parking places cannot be arranged, we recommend participants take public transportation to avoid congestion near the venue.

Can I store my baggage at the event?

As the starting and end point of the night walk event are 20Km apart, we regret baggage deposit is not practical.

What should I bring with me on the walk?

Your e-registration card for admission as reissuance will not be possible on the night. We also recommend you carry an umbrella or raincoat, food and water.

What should I do if I arrive late for the event’s start?

Event registration will stop at 10:45p.m. sharp. Please ask event staff at Shatin Sports Ground for further details if you are delayed beyond this time.

What support facilities will be provided along this year’s route?

There will be five checkpoints providing snacks, water and first-aid plus various washrooms. Please refer to the Moonwalkers 2018 map for details.

How should I/we return home after the walk is over?

Shuttle buses from Tai Po Tai Mei Tuk to Shatin town center will run from 1:00a.m. to 7:00a.m. on Sunday November 11, 2018. Participants may need to arrange their own transportation outside these hours.

How should I get help if there is any problem during the walk ?

Please contact our hotline 25950263. The service hotline will begin at 9pm on November 10 (Saturday) to the next day 7am.
